The Outdoor Litterbox for Indoor Cats installs anywhere you can put a pet door. The flexible tunnel can be installed through a wide variety of surfaces (wood, stucco, glass, etc.) and the patented design avoids having the weight of the box on the opening or the residence. The tunnel provides a stable, comfortable surface for the pet—slightly ridged to assist in depositing litter before it's tracked back into the house.
The Outdoor Litterbox for Indoor Cats can be installed through many existing pet doors or as a new installation. Attachment brackets with removable pet door flaps "snap lock" the tunnel in place and are accessible only from inside the lockable box or the residence. The box is removable only by the owner. Two pet door flaps provide improved "baffling" and offer maximum odor control. The flaps are removable if the user is installing the box to an existing pet door or if a second flap is not desired. Flexibility is designed into the product.
The box is well-ventilated yet weather-resistant. Odors escape but insects and the weather are kept out. Good ventilation means any kind of litter works great. A non-stick, non-absorbent bottom means no additional litter pan is required. Deeper litter and a larger "scoop" (if you still want to call it that) make cleaning much more efficient and more pleasant than you've ever known.
There are no mechanical parts to malfunction or wear out so the box should easily last the lifetime of a pet—and well beyond. There is no ongoing maintenance of the product itself.
